3 Acupressure Points to Lift your Eyelids February 13, 2020 10:25
The quest for eternal youth can become an unhealthy obsession when taken too far. Botox, fillers, plastic surgery are increasingly common these days, but they are expensive, risky and most times don’t provide the desired effect.
If you are anything like me, you don’t want to go under the knife or pay a fortune on fillers and you opt for safer, non-invasive alternatives.
I recently started to add acupressure to my daily facial massage and I am impressed with the results I see. A facial massage that uses acupressure points stimulates the flow of subtle, but powerful life energy known as Qi or Chi in Chinese medicine. Similar to acupuncture, which can be expensive and needs to be done by a certified acupuncturist, acupressure targets specific points along meridian lines (invisible vital energy lines), it removes blockages and restores the flow of energy, leading to a more radiant and toned skin.
Today, I want to introduce you to 3 acupressure points for lifting and toning your upper eyelid.
Where to apply pressure
Point 1 is situated at the inner edge of the brows, point 2 above the brows, about halfway between the edges, and point 3 at the outer edge of the brows.
How to apply pressure
Massage these points with your middle fingers in small circular movements for 30 to 60 seconds per point, applying firm, but not painful pressure. Alternatively, you can firmly press these points for the same amount of time.
Stay tuned for more facial acupressure points.
