DIY Natural Beauty Recipe & New Products July 1, 2015 08:00
Happy Canada Day, everyone! I hope today will bring you joy and relaxation! No matter how you decide to celebrate, don’t forget to find a few minutes to reconnect with yourselves, find inner peace and let your true beauty shine through. I believe that true beauty is defined by our attitude toward life rather than our physical assets. By feeling and looking as good as we can, we can spread joy and beauty to everything around us.
Adding a healthy glow to our skin can certainly help to complement our inner beauty. Many of us think that beauty treatments are expensive, self-indulgent and time-consuming. But they don’t have to be! Look no further than your pantry for ingredients that will make your skin silky smooth and glowing! Give the Banana – Avocado Face Mask a try and see how wonderful your skin will feel and look.
Banana – Avocado Face Mask
The avocado has been a beauty secret of Latin American women for thousands of years. Since pre-Columbian times, women in Central and South America have used avocado for their skin and hair as a natural protective barrier against the sun. It contains high levels of vitamin E and is extremely nourishing for dry skin.
- ½ ripe avocado
- ½ ripe banana
- 1 tsp honey
Preparation and application:
- Mash the ingredients in a small bowl or mix them in a blender until smooth
- Apply to clean face and neck with spatula or fingers
- Leave the mixture on for 10 – 15 minutes
- Rinse off with tepid water
Cover and refrigerate any leftovers or enjoy them as a tasty, healthy desert.
